Juventus Threaten Manchester United’s Move for Antonio Conte as Pressure Mounts on Michael Carrick

Manchester United could face a battle with Juventus for Antonio Conte if they decide to replace Michael Carrick as head coach. Alongside Conte, Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler has reportedly emerged as a leading candidate should Manchester United decide to make a managerial change. Conte is believed to be open to taking on a new challenge after leaving Napoli in the summer. The Italian manager previously led the club to three consecutive Serie A titles between 2011 and 2014 and made 419 appearances for Juventus as a player from 1991 to 2004. Speculation about his return has intensified following growing pressure on current coach Luciano Spalletti, particularly after Juventus suffered a 3-0 home defeat to Lazio. The result left Juventus eight points behind league leaders Inter Milan, while their position in the standings has raised concerns among supporters and intensified discussions about the club’s direction.

Conte has expressed interest in managing a major club with a rich history and the ambition to return to the top of the game, making both Manchester United and Juventus potentially attractive destinations.
