AC Milan’s Three-Year Offer for Leandro Paredes Falls Short as Midfielder Chooses Boca Juniors
AC Milan have reportedly made a serious attempt to bring Leandro Paredes back to European football, but their efforts appear to have ended before formal negotiations could even begin. The Italian club is said to have presented a significant three-year contract proposal to the Argentine midfielder, hoping to convince him to return to Serie A.

According to reports from Argentina, a representative close to Milan’s management met with Paredes to explain the club’s sporting project and why they wanted him as part of their plans. The meeting included details of a potential three-year contract and represented a concrete effort to gauge whether the experienced midfielder would consider another spell in Italy.

Paredes responded positively to the approach but ultimately decided against the move. The 32-year-old is currently happy at Boca Juniors and does not want to leave the Argentine club at this stage of his career. His decision means Milan’s interest has effectively been rejected before the proposal could develop into a formal transfer offer.

The Argentine international has plenty of experience at the highest level and would have brought considerable quality to Milan’s midfield. Paredes has previously played in Serie A with both Roma and Juventus, while his international career includes winning the 2022 World Cup with Argentina. His familiarity with Italian football made him an appealing option for Milan as they consider ways to strengthen their squad.

For now, the Rossoneri will have to look elsewhere as their pursuit of Paredes has reached a dead end. Milan are also dealing with the need to reduce their squad and move several players on before making further additions. With Paredes determined to remain at Boca Juniors, the proposed return to Europe looks unlikely to happen in the near future.
